Email forwarding

In addition to the direct receipt of emails via your own SMTP server, in the HeartBeat tariffs we offer you the possibility of forwarding your emails to an email address registered with us. If you are offline, it is possible with this feature to forward to a registered email address emails which reach our backup-MX server.
SPAM protection is included.

An example:
If you want to use your domain at DynAccess only to run your own web server, then we can forward all emails which are addressed to the domain to an external address. Emails which are addressed to addresses under your account are also forwarded.

Another example:
If your in-house mail server has a problem, your emails are stored on our backup mail exchanger until it can send the emails to you (up to 5 days). If you cannot solve your problem quickly, but need quick access to emails addressed to you, then you can tell our backup-MX to forward mails it has received to an address you have registered with us.
This combines practically classic email receipt via a POP3 account at your provider (for emergencies) with direct receipt of emails via direct MX routing (normal case).
This email-forwarding feature is thus only activated when you cannot directly receive email.

Please take the limitations of POP3/IMAP accounts at your provider into consideration.

Resumé:
The email-forwarding feature gives you the possibility to have emails sent to a domain associated with the account or to the account itself forwarded to an email address you have registered with us..
The highlight of this feature, however, is the combination of in-house email server and email forwarding, i.e. the combination of classic email receipt via a POP3 account at your provider (for emergencies) and direct receipt of emails via direct MX routing (normal case).
