Account Updates
Account updating is the core of DynAccess. Unlike many other providers, we update your account regularly and continuously not only when your IP address changes. This way, we always know that your system is reachable and can react immediately if problems occur.

SetIP Regular Account Updates
SetIP refers to an account update that occurs regularly and automatically regardless of whether your IP address has changed or not. Your system sends "signs of life" to our servers at fixed intervals. This way, we always know that everything is running smoothly on your end.
These continuous updates set DynAccess apart from other providers: We don't wait for an IP change, but actively monitor your reachability.
For this purpose, we provide the necessary programs for Windows and Linux free of charge under Client Download. Our DynAccess posters contact our redundant servers in various data centers depending on the situation and automatically fall back to backup systems if problems occur.

HeartBeat Fast Detection of Disruptions
The HeartBeat is a high-frequency account update. It continuously reports to our servers up to 17,280 times daily with the HeartBeat C plan.
The key point: The higher the plan, the higher the number of account updates and the faster we detect connection failures and IP changes. With HeartBeat C, we react within as little as 20 seconds. This close-meshed monitoring incidentally provides seamless monitoring of your reachability.
Why is this important?
If your internet connection fails, the old IP remains registered in DNS without fast detection. Possible consequences:

Your old IP is reassigned emails end up with the wrong recipient with a "User unknown" message |

Worst case: A third-party server accepts your emails business-critical data ends up in the wrong hands! |
How the HeartBeat works
The HeartBeat sends connectionless UDP packets at short intervals to our HeartBeat server. After 3 missed HeartBeats, we neutralize your account i.e., we configure a neutral IP to prevent misdirected access. Your account is not deactivated, but protected.

Conclusion: The HeartBeat is ideal for critical applications such as in-house email servers, but also as a lean monitoring solution.
Advanced SetIP For Hardware Routers
Advanced SetIP is an alternative to HeartBeat for routers that cannot send UDP packets at short intervals particularly Lancom routers.
Instead of UDP-based HeartBeats, the router performs more frequent TCP-based SetIPs. Here too: Updates occur regularly and independently of IP changes. The higher the plan, the shorter the intervals and the faster the detection of connection failures and IP changes.
