Direct Email Delivery
Starting from the Private B plan, you can receive emails directly on your in-house email server (e.g. Exchange, Kerio, Tobit David). Instead of retrieving emails via POP3, you operate your own SMTP server with direct MX routing.
The advantage: Your emails reach you without detours through another provider. With your own domain (e.g. your-company.com), emails to employee@your-company.com are delivered directly to your server.
Important: For secure operation in a business environment, we recommend the HeartBeat plans. Only this ensures that no emails are delivered to the wrong recipient in case of a connection failure.
Backup Mail Exchanger
A backup MX is essential for any serious email solution. Starting from the Business A plan, you can configure your own backup MX. From Business C onwards, we provide our backup mail exchangers for your use.
How it works
If your email server fails, our backup mail exchangers store your emails for up to 5 days. As soon as you are back online, the emails are automatically delivered. The maximum email size is 15 MB, the number of emails is unlimited.
Recommendation: For commercial operation of an in-house email server, we recommend at least the HeartBeat A plan. Only this way we neutralize your account within seconds in case of disruptions and the backup MX works reliably.
Email Forwarding
With the HeartBeat plans, you can have emails forwarded to an email address stored with us even without your own SMTP server.
Use Cases
| Web server only: |
You only operate a web server under your domain all emails are forwarded to an external address. |
| Emergency access: |
Your email server fails you temporarily switch to forwarding and receive your emails at an alternative address. |
| Combination: |
Direct delivery during normal operation, forwarding as fallback in case of disruptions. |
Configuration is done via myaccount.dynaccess.de.
Hidden MX
Starting from the HeartBeat B plan, you can use the Hidden MX feature. Your server is not published in DNS only our backup mail exchangers appear to the outside world.
Advantages:
 |
Your mail server remains "invisible" |
 |
All emails automatically pass through virus and spam filters |
 |
Protection against direct attacks on your server |
Virus and Spam Blocking
Every email that passes through our backup mail servers is checked for viruses and spam.
| Viruses: |
Are blocked immediately no configuration required. |
| Spam: |
Strictness level freely configurable. In a business environment, we recommend a "soft" setting: spam is marked in the subject line but not rejected. |
When does the filter apply?
The filters apply automatically when emails are routed through our backup MX servers:
 |
When Hidden MX is enabled |
 |
When using email forwarding |
 |
When your firewall blocks certain IPs and the sender falls back to our backup MX |
Note: For blocked emails, the sender receives an error message. You do not receive a list of blocked emails.
